Our first ever Dragonfly Count was a great success!

Twenty-eight people in six groups ventured forth into the sultry day. The conditions were ideal for odonates (if not so ideal for humans) : sunny, 90 degrees, and humid.

We tallied 36 species comprising 2110 individuals.

Everybody I talked to afterwards commented on how interesting and fun it was!
